In order to
sustain our club and employ coaching excellence, the
Gators operate on a budget. About half of our income comes through
club fees. The remaining income is earned through fundraisers and
the swim meets that we host.
Our parents
staff our home meets. Each swimmer's family is required to supply a volunteer for 2
home meet sessions. This includes our short course
and long course invitational meets, as well as any
conference meet we might host. Each session is
typically a 7 am - Noon or Noon - 5 pm shift on the
Saturday or Sunday of the meet weekend. We also ask
swimmers' families to help with meet set-up during Friday evening's practice
and tear-down on Sunday following the conclusion of the
meet. We begin seeking parent volunteers
approximately 2 week prior to each meet. Look for
sign-up lists as each meet approaches.
Our families
also help supply our concessions stand and hospitality room.
Look for this sign-up list prior to each meet as well.
Available
volunteer positions during our home meets include:
- Announcer
- Chief timer

No
experience is required when volunteering to help
at home swim meet. Prior to each meet, we
will provide any necessary training and provide
all necessary information. Watch for
details prior to each meet, and help us make our
swim meets great successes!
