Swimming is a fun and exciting sport
that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Help us make it
as fun and safe as possible by following these rules:
·
Swimmers should be dropped off no more than 15
minutes before practice begins and picked up no more than 15
minutes after practice ends. When practice is held at the
Greenwood High School Natatorium, swimmers should enter and exit
the pool by the school's east doors.
·
Swimmers and staff members are the only people
permitted
on the pool deck and in locker rooms. Parents are
encouraged to watch from the stands during practice.
·
While inside Greenwood High School, swimmers are
permitted in the pool and locker rooms. All other
school areas are off limits.
·
A swimmer needing to leave practice early should
submit a note from a parent or responsible adult advising
coaches of
the early departure.
·
All spectators must remain in the stands.
Children who are not swimmers should not be allowed to
leave the pool bleachers. Spectators are not permitted
in any other part of the school.
·
Swimmers should treat the school facilities
and all equipment with care.
·
Swimmers are not permitted to purchase or consume alcohol, smoke or
chew tobacco, or use any other illegal drug or substance. Any team member
suspected of such activity
will be subject to a committee review and may be expelled
from the team. Alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, and
other substances are prohibited from the natatorium and all
other school property.
We want Gators to be a fun
experience for all participating swimmers, but we're
also here to learn and to train for competition. Swimmers who interfere
with these goals will be removed from practice, and parents will be
called so the offending swimmer can be picked up
immediately.
Continued violations will result in suspension or dismissal
from the team.
