Your child is ready to join our swim team if he or she can swim an entire length of the pool using the free style stroke or nearly a free style stroke.

Swimmers may join the Gators Swim Team at any time during our season.  Many swimmers begin when their other seasonal activities complete or following completion of Gators Swim Lessons.  If you would like to join mid-season, please speak to Coach Chas or one of our board members at the Greenwood High School natatorium during any practice time.

To make the most of your time on the team, Coach Chas requests swimmers be consistent in attendance starting with the first practice at the beginning of the season if thats possible.  Most technical instruction will occur during practice in the first few weeks of the swim season!

Give us a try!  Prospective swimmers can participate with the Gators for a 2-week trial period.  Contact Coach Chas or a board member for details!

Your child is ready for our swim lessons if he or she is potty-trained and is able to hold onto the side of the pool without help.  Parents do not enter the water with the children during our swim lessons.

Our lesson groups are small so each child gets plenty of attention and instruction.  Sessions are scheduled throughout the year.  Each session consists of eight 40-minute lessons in a group of 4 to 6 children. 

We try to accommodate scheduling requests based on the number of registrations and class availability.  

Private lessons are also available for children and adults who would like to learn to swim.  Cost is $25 per half-hour session or 5 half-hour sessions for $100.  Times are limited so please contact us for availability.
